We’ve been busy lately acquiring new research databases. Our most recent additions are the Fold3 database (primarily for military and other historical records) and Morningstar (financial data).
Fold3
Fold3 provides convenient access to US military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served. Also included are digitized “milestone documents” like the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and others.

Morningstar
For patrons that are looking for updated, easy-to-access financial data, the new Morningstar online edition is now available. Patrons that are users of the Morningstar print edition, or the Value Line financial information in the library will be familiar with the service, the difference being that the online version is available 24/7, with updates taking place as they occur. The print versions of these types of resources may have a lag between the update, publishing, printing, and mailing of the booklets.
The Morningstar online database gives you access to ratings and other financial data relating to individual companies, funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and overall markets and industries. In addition, the site offers portfolio tools for tracking your own personal assets, as well as calculators to help you save for retirement or college educations.
